# AI Workflows for Marketing & Content Teams — Matthew Rhoads

> Matthew Rhoads is an independent full-stack web developer and Official Sanity Partner who builds AI workflows into the CMS and publishing process of marketing teams, design studios, and enterprise clients: on-brand drafting from briefs, in-editor voice tools, content repurposing, agents that read your real guidelines, and publish-triggered automation. Brand rules live as editable content, a person approves everything that publishes, and drafts only use facts from the brief. Quoted per engagement. Contact: hello@zephyrpixels.dev.

## What I build

- **On-brand drafting** — a brief becomes a draft landing page or post in a couple of minutes, written against brand rules the team keeps in the CMS.
- **Voice tools in the editor** — one-click field actions: rewrite in brand voice, soften the tone, write the summary, suggest subheads; all governed by the same voice rules.
- **Content repurposing** — one piece of content becomes the article, video, email, and social post without rebuilding each by hand.
- **Agents that know your content** — Claude and developers' coding agents look up the real guidelines and content instead of guessing.
- **Publishing automation** — newsletters and social posts sent when an editor publishes.
- **Build reports** — every AI draft lists the rules it followed, what it left out, and why.

## How I build them

1. **Brand rules are content** — voice, terminology, and style rules live in the CMS with drafts, revision history, and permissions, not in a prompt in the codebase. Change a rule and the next draft follows it; no developer ticket.
2. **A person always publishes** — AI creates drafts; automated videos and posts attach to drafts or wait for an editor to publish.
3. **Facts come from you** — no invented numbers, customers, or quotes; unsupported sections are left out and flagged.
4. **Costs stay predictable** — caps on how often workflows run.

## Proof

- **Brand rules as content (open-source template)** — marketing writes rules in Sanity; AI turns a brief into a draft landing page citing every rule used; editing a rule changes the next page in about a minute. [How it works](/blog/sanity-context-landing-pages.md).
- **Chipter (Matt's own product)** — a brand-voice system in three registers, plus each review automatically becoming an article, platform-sized videos, a newsletter, and a social post. [Case study](/case-studies/chipter.md).

## Who it's for

- **Marketing teams** — already using AI, with results that depend on who's driving; one workflow and one set of rules owned by the brand owners.
- **Design studios & agencies** — sites that keep enforcing a client's brand guidelines after launch, or the AI layer of a project the studio leads.
- **Enterprise content teams** — many writers and channels, one voice, with CMS permissions and revision history.

## Engagement & pricing

Quoted per engagement: fixed price for a defined workflow, hourly or retainer when embedded, or consulting for planning. AI usage is billed by the providers used, with caps built in. See [how I work](/process.md).

## FAQ

**What is an AI content workflow?** AI built into how the team already creates and publishes content — briefs to draft pages, reviews to videos and newsletters, one-click on-brand rewrites — inside the CMS, following team-controlled rules, with a person approving what goes out.

**Will this replace our writers?** No. It handles first drafts and repetitive reformatting; the team writes briefs, owns the rules, and decides what publishes.

**How do you keep AI output on-brand?** The style guide becomes rules stored as content that the AI looks up every time; drafts cite the rules used, are checked against the page structure, and only use facts from the brief.

**Do we need to be on Sanity?** Most of these workflows run on Sanity (Matt is an Official Sanity Partner). On other platforms, Matt will say honestly what's possible or whether moving makes sense.

**Does it work with the AI tools we already use?** Usually: e.g., briefs can be submitted from Claude, and coding agents can read the same brand rules. Every entry point feeds the same workflow.

**How much does it cost?** Quoted per engagement; AI provider usage billed separately, with caps.
