How I work - One person, start to finish

Whether I'm embedded in your team or running a build end to end, you get the same thing: a senior developer who understands what you need, builds it quickly, and stands behind it long after launch.

Three ways to engage

Embedded / retainer

Hourly or retainer

Senior Sanity and Next.js capacity inside your team — overflow builds, a migration you don't have staff for, or an architect on a client project. I work in your repos, your Slack, your process. Hourly or a monthly retainer; no recruiting pipeline, no bench cost.

Fixed-price project

One price, up front

Hand me the whole build. One price, agreed before I write a line of code — no budget surprises, no change-order games. Most projects ship in 2–6 weeks and every one includes 30 days of post-launch support.

Consulting

Scoped per engagement

Architecture and code review, stack and CMS selection, performance and SEO audits, or ongoing technical advisory. A principal engineer's judgment without the full-time hire — tell me the problem and I'll scope the engagement.

My approach is simple

I listen first. Every engagement starts with understanding the goal — your client's brief, your team's workflow, your business. I ask the right questions so I build the right thing.

I build fast. Using modern tools like Next.js and my expertise as a Sanity Partner, I deliver in weeks what others take months to build. First preview in days — I learn by building.

I optimize relentlessly. Performance isn't an afterthought—it's built in from day one. Every site I launch scores 95+ on Lighthouse because speed directly impacts the bottom line.

I stick around. Launch is the start, not the finish. I'm the same person you call for the update next quarter or the fix two years from now — no handoff to someone who's never seen the code.

Your options for senior Sanity capacity

When a build needs Sanity depth you don't have in-house, there are really three moves: hire someone, roll the dice on a contractor, or bring me in. The honest comparison:

Time to start
With me: Days. No recruiting pipeline, no onboarding quarter.
A full-time hire: Months of sourcing, interviewing, and ramp-up.
An unvetted contractor: Fast — you find out what you actually got later.
Cost shape
With me: Hourly only when there’s work. Fixed price for full builds.
A full-time hire: Salary, benefits, and bench time between projects.
An unvetted contractor: A tempting rate; the rework is where it gets expensive.
Sanity depth
With me: Official Sanity Partner, plugin author, migrations shipped.
A full-time hire: Depends entirely on who you land.
An unvetted contractor: “I’m sure I can pick it up.”
Accountability
With me: My name and Partner status ride on every delivery.
A full-time hire: Real, but slow — reviews and management overhead.
An unvetted contractor: Ghosting is always one invoice away.
When the work ends
With me: Engagement closes cleanly; I’m on call for the next one.
A full-time hire: The salary continues whether or not the work does.
An unvetted contractor: Good luck getting the same person twice.
